JACKSONVILLE, Fla.--
In the first of two home games this weekend, the Jacksonville Giants defeated the Gulf Coast Flash 131-99. Jermaine Bell led the Giants with 25 points in addition to 15 rebounds and 4 blocks. This is the second time the Jacksonville Giants have defeated the Flash this season. The Giants currently have a five game win streak against their in-division rival which includes last seasons home opener.
Coach Waters commended his players on the win “The team played great tonight, our starters got the job done early which gave us an opportunity to play our reserves late in the game. Jermaine Bell has followed up his MVP season without drop off and continues to lead his team.”
With this win the Giants, winners of seven straight games, improve to 15-1 on the season and are currently ranked #2 in the ABA power rankings. Tomorrow the Giants face the Birmingham Blitz at Veterans Memorial Arena, which will be City of Jacksonville Night.
