JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A van hydroplaned and then crashed into a power pole on Beach Boulevard at Cortez Road knocking down power lines and blocked the road Thursday morning.
Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says power will be restored to traffic lights at Beach Boulevard and Cortez Road by 10 a.m. and the downed electrical wires should be back up by 10:30 a.m. Power was knocked out temporarily to traffic lights at St. Johns Bluff. Traffic is being diverted through the parking lot along Beach Boulevard.
At 9:30 a.m. there were four Jacksonville Electric Authority teams working to clean up the downed power lines
Two teenage boys were traveling in that van. There are no injuries reported.
