JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- We bottomed out at 24 frigid degrees in Jacksonville on Monday morning. Other cold low temperatures included 30 degrees at both Mayport and St. Augustine. We reached 23 degrees in Doctors Inlet and Interlachen...21 in Hilliard.
By noon, we were 30 degrees warmer already as we set our sights for the 60s by mid-afternoon. Even warmer on Tuesday with highs up to the mid 70s! In between, we'll have a milder night with lows in the 40s in the city and 50s at the beaches.
With the warmer air...some showers. Rain amounts on Tuesday won't be too high. A better chance of a soaking rain over the upcoming weekend. The First Alert Weather Team is still fine tuning the forecast, but one thing's for certain: we won't see freezing temperatures again over the course of the next 7 days.
