PALM COAST, Fla. -- Right this minute, police are looking for a man who shot and killed Zuheily Rosado at the convenience store where she worked.
About 10:20 Thursday night, a customer walked inside the Mobil Store on State Road 100 and I-95 to find the clerk dead.
Cmdr. Jack Bisland with the Flagler County Sheriff's Office said, "She suffered a gunshot wound. She was 32 years old age."
She was also the mother of six children. We're told the oldest is 16, the youngest, just 6 months.
"All I can think is she's a hard working mom with six kids," said Shannon Register, a customer of the store who works across the street. "And that's it. You're life is gone in an instant for no reason."
According to investigators, surveillance video from inside the store shows a man with a gun walk into the store, pull his shirt over his face, and fire. The suspect didn't even rob the store, making the motive for this murder even more of a mystery.
"It's scary," said Register. "It's scary that somebody can just walk in an story could be gone in an instant."
Rosado was working at the store alone. The owner said she's been there for about three years, and they had never been robbed before. However, her friend, Ray Tange, didn't believe that.
He said, "She needed a second person in there really, at night. Because this place has been robbed before. And it's not exactly the best location."
The location is just about 100 yards from the interstate. And the suspect was last seen walking towards the on-ramp to I-95 North. Beyond that, investigators aren't sure how he got away. And they say the surveillance video doesn't do much to reveal the suspect's identity.
