JACKSONVILLE, Fla.-- Memorial services will be held today for Jordan Davis, the local teen who was shot and killed during a dispute over loud music.

Devastation over Jordan Davis death is spilling over to everyone who knew him. From friends to teachers at Wolfson High School..

The teen's parents tell Action News they will rally for stricter gun laws in the state of Florida in an effort to keep something like this from happening again.

"I'm trying to be strong for my son right now, but actually off camera I'm a mess. I'm an actual mess and it's going to be a very long time before I'm able to get even a piece of myself back," Ronald Davis, Jordan's father,  said.

A memorial for Jordan is set to start at 4 p.m. today at Hardage-Giddens  Funeral Home on San Jose Boulevard.

The family is opening it up, to all who would like to come in honor of their son
