JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- JSO needs your help finding the man who attacked a jogger on the Southside. It happened last month in the Timberlin Park neighborhood off Southside Boulevard.

Chief Tom Hackney with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said, "The suspect came behind her, struck her and attempted to pull her into the woods."

On Wednesday, new evidence was revealed that could lead JSO to their man. They say they found the suspect's hoodie in the woods near where the attack was reported.

"I feel like the suspect in this case has probably had discussions with somebody and had to explain where his missing hoodie is because we have it," said Hackney.

They say the hoodie is pretty distinctive. It's black. The brand is Roundtree and York, sold exclusively at Dillard's. The size is extra large, extra tall.

Chief Hackney said, "We feel like his motives were most likely sex related."

Police say the suspect is familiar with the area. It's even possible he lives there.  They say he's young, 18 to mid 20s, and the victim said he had a "baby face."

He's believed to be 5' 9," 180 pounds. Police think he could be a smoker, possibly of Camel cigarettes.

In the beginning, JSO believed the suspect could have been connected to a red pick-up truck. They no longer think that truck is involved.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (866)-845-TIPS.
