JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- A St. Johns County man was arrested for stealing the core of three 3-ton air conditioning units at a local business.
The suspect, 24-year-old Hugh Ryan was arrested by Property Crimes Unit detectives last Wednesday and is being charged with grand theft and criminal mischief.
Ryan was caught in the act by surveillance cameras in the area that showed him driving up to the business and removing the A/C cores. The three units were valued at $3,000
Detectives also suspect Ryan is responsible for two additional thefts of A/C units. Those charges are pending further investigation.
