KEYSTONE HEIGHTS, Fla. -- A longtime business is closed indefinitely after a fire early Tuesday. Clay County Fire Rescue was called to the scene of a commercial structure fire at The White Elephant at 7900 State Road 100 about 4:26 a.m. Tuesday.

A passer-by alerted officials after seeing flames through a window and smoke from the vents and roof.

Crews from Station 11 arrived six minutes after the alarm and were able to get it under control with the help of Bradford County and other Clay County stations. The fire was reported out at about 5:03 a.m.

No occupants or firefighters were injured. The business will be closed indefinitely because of the extensive damage to the building. The cause of the blaze is under investigation by the State Fire Marshall.
