JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The sentencing hearing for the man convicted of killing a mom while she was sitting in traffic has moved to Friday.
According to police, in 2010 Taurice Brown got into a fight during a drug deal and fired off a couple of shots. One of them struck and killed a mom of three, who was sitting traffic.
Analisa Gobaton was sitting in her car a few blocks away when she was hit by the stray bullet. The 41-year-old wife and mother died alone in her car on Blanding Boulevard. And now her family is hoping today to see justice finally served.
Brown was convicted of first-degree murder in the shooting last month. He could face up to life in prison for the crime. Brown's sentencing is now scheduled for December 14th at 10 a.m.
