JACKSONVILLE, Fla.--The crews are busy putting the final touches on the court on board the USS Bataan. The Florida Gators open the season with the Georgetown Hoyas in the Navy-Marine Corps Classic at 9:15 p.m.

It's a unique set up with about 12 yards of distance between the out of bounds line and the edge of the ship.

A crowd of about 3,400 people is expected. The temps will be around 50 degrees at tip-off with a 5-mile-per-hour breeze out of the north. Mike Buresh tells me that it will dip into the 40s during the game.

The Gators tell me that they don't know what to expect from the elements but both teams have to play in them. Billy Donovan suspended Scottie Wilbekin for breaking team rules. The Gators will count on Kenny Boynton at point guard.
