WOODBINE, Ga. -- A Clay County man is charged with large amounts of items from Walmarts in South Carolina.

Brian O'Neal Williams, 36, was stopped for making an improper lane change on I-95 in Camden County Tuesday. The deputy says Williams was acting nervous, so he asked to search his vehicle. When he refused, a canine unit was brought in to conduct a "free air search." The dog alerted to the presence of marijuana, according to the report. That allowed deputies to enter the car. There, they found bins of over-the-counter medicines, toiletries, and pet products.

The report states that during further questioning, Williams told investigators he bought the items from an "Arab guy" at a flea market in Jacksonville. A review of the items uncovered a GPS, which was traced back to a Walmart in Charleston, South Carolina. Investigators say surveillance images from that location match Williams' description.

The items stolen totaled more than $10,000. Williams is believed to have stolen the items by placing them in plastic containers and then purchasing the covered containers at self-checkout lanes.
