JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Visibility dropped to near zero across Northeast Florida this Wednesday morning. Numerous locations in Duval County reported a quarter mile or less, where a dense fog advisory was hoisted until 10 AM.
The fog is in partly due to the unusually warm and humid air in place. The unseasonably mild air is moving over a "winter ground" (which is relatively cooler)...creating the fog. We also had some rain showers, which increased the moisture level.
Morning fog is also possible on Thursday morning.
