JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The JSO bomb squad has cleared a suspicious package that closed several roads on the Westside.
About 150 students from Cedar Creek Christian were bussed to The Potter's House nearby while the bomb squad was called.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, it started when the administrator of the school received a suspicious package from a recently fired employee. The items turned out to materials he forgot to return. JSO says the employee, who was an assistant coach, did not leave on bad terms.
The area was deemed safe after a couple of hours and S. Lane Avenue between Lenox and Park reopened a short time later.
No one was injured during the ordeal.
