MAYPORT, Fla.-- The body of a man found in a shipwreck just 22 miles off Jacksonville's coast Sunday has been identified as 49-year-old Guillermo Gonzalez Losada.

Losada was found with a Venezuelan passport where his family is believed to be, but the Coast Guard says he was most recently living in Miami on a work visa.

Now the Coast Guard wants to know what Losada was doing off the coast of Jacksonville.

"We don't know where he came from, what he was doing and where he was going," said Coast Guard spokeswoman Petty Officer Jessica Potter.

The Coast Guard has been struggling to find Losada's next of kin.

With little left of the boat debris and no hull number found so far, the Coast Guard says learning more about Losada will give them more clues about the wreck.

"We want people who know him, perhaps who knew what he was doing out here to come forward and give us some information, so we know if there was anyone else on board, where he was going, and what type of vessel he was in," said Potter.

The search for survivors out at sea is expected to continue into Monday evening.
