JACKSONVILLE -- Consider Monday's sunny skies deceiving. You'll need those umbrellas on Election Day.
It's a weather scenario that has not yet materialized, but the First Alert Weather Team is monitoring storm potential for Tuesday. An area of low pressure in the Midwest is racing towards the Southeast U.S. At the same time, we have a cold front in our area. The two weather systems will combine and come together over the First Coast on Tuesday. Cooler air is moving in, and the showers will follow.
This storm system will organize offshore then move north along the East Coast of the U.S. through Thursday. It will likely strengthen as it moves north, bringing Nor'easter conditions to the same areas devastated by Superstorm Sandy. New Jersey, New York, and other Mid-Atlantic states will experience winds above 40 mph, rough surf, rain, and even snow with this week's Nor'easter.
