JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – It’s a celebrity secret. Shrink inches in a matter of a couple of hours at the most, to look sleeker. It’s the rage in cities like L.A., Chicago, it’s even been featured on the Real House Wives of Atlanta. It’s we found a company in San Marco is now offering these “Slim Wraps”.
“A lot of celebrities get these wraps for movies, award shows or a night out on the town,” says spa owner Janae’ Daniels.
She invested in her own franchise after seeing it process done on a reality t.v. show. The Slim Wrap company came to Jacksonville, to start Daniels’ training. Daniels says you can lose up to 20-inches total body in one visit.
“It’s possible to lose 6 to 20 inches from that one hour, that one wrap. You can also lose inches 5 to 7 days after, depending on your eating habits, drinking lots of water and remaining active.”
I took two of my co-workers for a session. We were wrapped like mummies, a mineral solution is applied to our bandages that bind us tightly. I was put under a thermal blanket with a clay and aloe mixture applied to my trouble spots. Kristen Sell and Amanda Warford, my brave and hopeful friends were wrapped and watered down with the detox solution as well, but with their treatments—they had to stay active for up to an hour. They jogged in place, pounced on a trampoline, and even shimmed on a vibrating machine..
When the bandages were removed we each shrunk about 7-inches total body.
Daniels say her business is popular right now with a new clientèle. Military women *and men who need to drop a little before a fitness test.
